What there is to see and do :

Caerhays Farms is a low input mixed farm overlooking the sea and Caerhays Castle. The farm runs a pedigree herd of 250 Saler cattle and lambs a flock of 500 Dorset ewes in November. The farm is also the location of a large scale pheasant rearing game farm where from May to August school groups can see hatching eggs, chicks and pheasant poults during rearing. The coastline provides opportunities for studying marine life and the estate woodlands and water meadows provide enormous opportunities for nature studies, the rich coastal grassland is of particular interest in this respect

-Caerhays Farms is located entirely within an AONB -The coastline at Caerhays is all designated as a geological SSSI -Caerhays Castle is English Heritage designated Grade I -Caerhays Castle Gardens are designated by English Heritage as Grade II

-Geological SSSI coastline adjacent to Porthluney Beach -One of the only functioning water meadow flooding systems in Cornwall -Game Farm rearing of pheasant chicks and poults -Caerhays Castle Gardens – 120 acres – National Collection of Magnolias

Conservation on farm
For the last 20 years Caerhays Farms has been in Countryside Stewardship Scheme agreements. From December 2013, Caerhays Farms has signed up to a 10 year Higher Level Stewardship scheme agreement to further enhance the historic and wildlife interest of the estate, including management to enhance the historic landscapes, water meadows and coastal fields and options designed to encourage the return of the cirl bunting to Caerhays
