Juliet's Wood (Site H) near Hexham

Access to Juliet’s Wood is along a public footpath from Slaley village. The woodland contains several plant species indicative of ancient woodland and is considered to be ‘ancient’ though there is some evidence of it previously having been cultivated land. The woods have a very good bird fauna, including barn, tawny and little owls, wood warbler, pied flycatcher and tree creeper.
