Hauxley (Site G) near Amble
Hauxley Nature Reserve is managed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust as one of five sites along Druridge Bay. The reserve is best known as a bird reserve and indeed the site is a great place to see a variety of waders and wildfowl as well as woodland species such as tree sparrow. There are five hides across the site which provide excellent views over the reserve and out to sea. The route to the east side is suitable for accompanied wheelchairs.
