Country Walk Summary

Woodside Farm (A) near Keyworth

This new access route provides an extension to the route of an existing public bridleway and links serveral public footpaths. The route passes across the Kingston Brook, through a flower rich hay meadow and runs past a good example of ridge and furrow earthworks; the evidence of medieval arable cultivation. Part of the bridleway passes along the route of an old byway that probably led to the deserted medieval village of Thorpe in the Glebe.
