Country Walk Summary

Shackerdale Farm A near Bingham

Funding through Environmental Stewardship has created approximately 2.4 kilometres of new permissive footpaths for the public to enjoy from Hawksworth Road. The route follows a lowland stream, Car Dyke, for 700 metres where you may see Kingfisher and Yellow Wagtail. Some of the adjacent arable land has been reverted to grassland to protect buried archaeological features that are thought to date from the Romano-British period.
