Benham Estate near Newbury

This kilometre long route leads through Speen Moor Plantation and the floodplains of the River Kennet, linking the footpath from Speen to the towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal. The route passes through open grassland and the mature alder woodlands of Speen Moor. The grassland is managed under a Higher Level Stewardship agreement for the benefit of flowers and birds. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times to protect grazing livestock, ground-nesting birds and flowers.
