Haddington Dovecote near Lincoln

Hall Close scheduled monument contains the remains of two manors; one Anglo-Saxon, the other the medieval Haddington Hall. Extensive earthworks allow you to trace the buildings etc. Open access allows you to explore it all. There is a medieval dovecote with well preserved interior nest boxes which is being conserved under the scheme. Information boards on site give you more details. Also you can picnic by the River Witham, use the public footpaths to make a circular walk and in summer watch dragonflies over the pools.
