Barkin Gate Farm near Lancaster
The permissive footpath and bridleway paths wind through the Roeburndale Woods near Wray. The woodlands have been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and form one of the largest remaining ancient woodlands in Lancashire. The paths also cross several traditional orchards holding old Lancashire varieties of fruit. The permissive footpath and route is over 3km long and quite challenging in places so stout footwear is essential.
