LAND AT YARWELL Near PETERBOROUGH
This area of land is managed as a traditional river meadow and has therefore remained largely untouched by modern agricultural methods. It is cut for hay during the summer and is then grazed by cattle and sheep until late autumn. As a result this site supports a variety of grasses and flowers which in turn support many insect and hence bird species.
