LAND AT KING''S CLIFFE Near PETERBOROUGH
Much of this land was taken out of arable production and entered into permanent Set Aside during the late 80''s. As a result of being left fallow for several years, a range of plants native to limestone areas began to re-colonise the fields. The area is now being managed for stock grazing and for hay, and without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Sympathetic management will encourage this re-colonisation to continue, thereby providing a valuable wildlife habitat.
