WHEAT HILL FARM SITE B Near MARKET HARBOROUGH
The grassland on this site has been largely unimproved by modern agriculture and as a result contains several wildflower species. The steeper banks at the southern end of this site are more acidic and contain species such as Tormentil as well as gorse which often provides hunting ground for birds of prey. Ridge and furrow a relic of medieval strip farming is evident at the northern end of the site. Access is also available to land to the west of the village.
